The Catholic Church's position on abortion is consistent with it's long standing belief that all human life is valuable at all stages of life.

As Catholics we believe that Jesus was Immaculately conceived by God in the womb of Mother Mary. It is therefore, reasonable to conclude that God does recognize life at the moment of conception.

The Catholic Church rejects all forms of violence against those who participate in abortion. As Catholics we believe that all those who participate in abortion are hurt by it emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. Along with the unborn children we pray for the mothers, fathers, doctors, abortion clinic staff, and all others who participate in abortion.

As Catholics we hope to change hearts and minds about protecting all human life. If we can do that, changing the laws will naturally follow.
